How To Install perl-Data-OptList on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-Data-OptList
on CentOS 8.
What is perl-Data-OptList
Hashes are great for storing named data, but if you want more than one entry for a name, you have to use a list of pairs. Even then, this is really boring to write $values = [ foo => undef, bar => undef, baz => undef, xyz => { … }, ]; With Data $values = Data qw(foo bar baz), xyz => { … }, ]); This works by assuming that any defined scalar is a name and any reference following a name is its value.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Data-OptList
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Data-OptList.
Install perl-Data-OptList on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Data-OptList
using dnf
by running the following command:
