Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install paper on CentOS 8.

What is paper

This package enables users to indicate their preferred paper size, provides the paper(1) utility to find the user’s preferred default paper size and give information about known sizes, and specifies system-wide and per-user paper size catalogs, which can be can also be used directly (see paperspecs(5)).

We can use yum or dnf to install paper on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install paper.

Install paper on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install paper using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install paper

How To Uninstall paper on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the paper package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove paper
