How To Install OpenStego on CentOS 8

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install OpenStego on CentOS 8.

What is OpenStego

OpenStego is a tool implemented in Java for generic steganography, with support for password-based encryption of the data. It supports plugins for various steganographic algorithms.

We can use yum or dnf to install OpenStego on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install OpenStego.

Install OpenStego on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install OpenStego using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install OpenStego

Install OpenStego on CentOS 8 Using yum

After updating yum database, We can install OpenStego using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install OpenStego

How To Uninstall OpenStego on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the OpenStego package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove OpenStego
