How To Install nunit2 on CentOS 8

nunit2 is Unit test framework for CLI

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install nunit2 on CentOS 8.

What is nunit2

NUnit is a unit testing framework for all .NET languages. It serves the same purpose as JUnit does in the Java world. It supports test categories, testing for exceptions and writing test results in plain text or XML. NUnit targets the CLI (Common Language Infrastructure) and supports Mono and the Microsoft .NET Framework.

We can use yum or dnf to install nunit2 on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nunit2.

Install nunit2 on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install nunit2 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install nunit2

Install nunit2 on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall nunit2 on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the nunit2 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove nunit2
