How To Install notcurses on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install notcurses
on CentOS 8.
What is notcurses
Notcurses facilitates the creation of modern TUI programs, making full use of Unicode and 24-bit TrueColor. It presents an API similar to that of Curses, and rides atop Terminfo. This package includes C and C++ shared libraries.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install notcurses
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install notcurses.
Install notcurses on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install notcurses
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install notcurses
Install notcurses on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall notcurses on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the notcurses
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove notcurses
