How To Install lmdb-libs on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install lmdb-libs
on CentOS 8.
What is lmdb-libs
The lmdb-libs package contains shared libraries necessary for running applications that use lmdb. lmdb-libs 0.9.24 1.el8 x86_64 58 k lmdb-0.9.24-1.el8.src.rpm baseos Shared libraries for lmdb http OpenLDAP The lmdb-libs package contains shared libraries necessary for running applications that use lmdb.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install lmdb-libs
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install lmdb-libs.
Install lmdb-libs on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install lmdb-libs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install lmdb-libs
Install lmdb-libs on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

After updating yum database, We can install lmdb-libs
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install lmdb-libs
How To Uninstall lmdb-libs on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the lmdb-libs
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove lmdb-libs
