In this tutorial we learn how to install konversation on CentOS 8.
What is konversation
A simple and easy to use IRC client with support for strikeout; multi-channel joins; away / unaway messages; ignore list functionality; support for foreign language characters; auto-connect to server; optional timestamps to chat windows; configurable background colors and much more
We can use yum or dnf to install konversation on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install konversation.
Install konversation on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
