How To Install glib2-static on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install glib2-static
on CentOS 8.
What is glib2-static
The glib2-static subpackage contains static libraries for glib2. glib2-static 2.56.4 10.el8_4 x86_64 1.5 M glib2-2.56.4-10.el8_4.src.rpm powertools glib static http LGPLv2+ The glib2-static subpackage contains static libraries for glib2.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install glib2-static
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install glib2-static.
Install glib2-static on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install glib2-static
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install glib2-static
Install glib2-static on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall glib2-static on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the glib2-static
