Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install gkrellm-daemon on CentOS 8.

What is gkrellm-daemon

gkrellmd listens for connections from gkrellm clients. When a gkrellm client connects to a gkrellmd server all builtin monitors collect their data from the server.

We can use yum or dnf to install gkrellm-daemon on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gkrellm-daemon.

Install gkrellm-daemon on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install gkrellm-daemon using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install gkrellm-daemon

How To Uninstall gkrellm-daemon on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the gkrellm-daemon package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove gkrellm-daemon
