In this tutorial we learn how to install fluidsynth-devel on CentOS 8.
What is fluidsynth-devel
FluidSynth is a real-time software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. It is a “software synthesizer”. This package holds header files for building programs that link against fluidsynth.
We can use yum or dnf to install fluidsynth-devel on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fluidsynth-devel.
Install fluidsynth-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
