In this tutorial we learn how to install flatpak-spawn on CentOS 8.

What is flatpak-spawn

This package contains the flatpak-spawn command-line utility. It can be used to talk to the org.freedesktop.Flatpak service to spawn new sandboxes, run commands on the host, or use one of the session or system helpers.

We can use yum or dnf to install flatpak-spawn on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install flatpak-spawn.

Install flatpak-spawn on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install flatpak-spawn using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install flatpak-spawn

How To Uninstall flatpak-spawn on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the flatpak-spawn package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove flatpak-spawn
