How To Install fernflower on CentOS 8

fernflower is JIdea’s java decompiler

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install fernflower on CentOS 8.

What is fernflower

JIdea’s decompiler is the first actually working analytical decompiler for Java and probably for a high-level programming language in general. Naturally it is still under development, please send your bug reports and improvement suggestions to the issue tracker.

We can use yum or dnf to install fernflower on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fernflower.

Install fernflower on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install fernflower using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install fernflower

How To Uninstall fernflower on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the fernflower package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove fernflower
