How To Install fcitx-table-extra on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fcitx-table-extra
on CentOS 8.
What is fcitx-table-extra
Fcitx-table-extra provides extra table for Fcitx, including Boshiamy, Zhengma, and Cangjie 3/5. Boshiamy table and its icon are released under their own license.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install fcitx-table-extra
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fcitx-table-extra.
Install fcitx-table-extra on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install fcitx-table-extra
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install fcitx-table-extra

How To Uninstall fcitx-table-extra on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the fcitx-table-extra
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove fcitx-table-extra
