Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install fastlz
on CentOS 8.
What is fastlz
FastLZ is a lossless data compression library designed for real-time compression and decompression. It favors speed over compression ratio. Decompression requires no memory. Decompression algorithm is very simple, and thus extremely fast.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install fastlz
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install fastlz.
Install fastlz on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
