How To Install epel-next-release on CentOS 8

What is epel-next-release
This package contains the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) Next configuration for yum. epel-next-release 8 11.el8 noarch 11 k epel-release-8-11.el8.src.rpm extras Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux Next repository configuration http GPLv2 This package contains the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) Next configuration for yum.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install epel-next-release
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install epel-next-release.
Install epel-next-release on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

Metadata cache created.
After updating yum database, We can install epel-next-release
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install epel-next-release
Install epel-next-release on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall epel-next-release on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the epel-next-release
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove epel-next-release

/etc/yum.repos.d/epel-next-testing.repo
/etc/yum.repos.d/epel-next.repo
