How To Install editorconfig-libs on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install editorconfig-libs
on CentOS 8.
What is editorconfig-libs
EditorConfig makes it easy to maintain the correct coding style when switching between different text editors and between different projects. The EditorConfig project maintains a file format and plugins for various text editors which allow this file format to be read and used by those editors. This package contains the shared library.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install editorconfig-libs
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install editorconfig-libs.
Install editorconfig-libs on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install editorconfig-libs
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install editorconfig-libs

How To Uninstall editorconfig-libs on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the editorconfig-libs
package we can use the following command:
