How To Install double-conversion on CentOS 8

double-conversion is Library providing binary-decimal and decimal-binary routines for IEEE doubles

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install double-conversion on CentOS 8.

What is double-conversion

Provides binary-decimal and decimal-binary routines for IEEE doubles. The library consists of efficient conversion routines that have been extracted from the V8 JavaScript engine. The code has been re-factored and improved so that it can be used more easily in other projects.

We can use yum or dnf to install double-conversion on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install double-conversion.

Install double-conversion on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

CentOS Linux 8 - BaseOS 65 kB/s | 3.9 kB 00:00
