What is dnsperf-data

This is dnsperf, a collection of DNS server performance testing tools. This package provides example query file to use by dnsperf and resperf tools.

We can use yum or dnf to install dnsperf-data on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dnsperf-data.

Install dnsperf-data on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install dnsperf-data using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install dnsperf-data

How To Uninstall dnsperf-data on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the dnsperf-data package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove dnsperf-data
