How To Install dhcpd-pools on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install dhcpd-pools on CentOS 8.

What is dhcpd-pools

This is for ISC DHCP shared network and pool range usage analysis. Purpose of command is to count usage ratio of each IP range and shared network pool which ISC dhcpd is in control of. Users of the command are most likely ISPs and other organizations that have large IP space.

We can use yum or dnf to install dhcpd-pools on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dhcpd-pools.

Install dhcpd-pools on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install dhcpd-pools using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install dhcpd-pools

How To Uninstall dhcpd-pools on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the dhcpd-pools package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove dhcpd-pools
