What is dejavu-serif-fonts

The DejaVu font set is based on the \u201cBitstream Vera\u201d fonts, release 1.10. This package consists of the DejaVu serif variable-width font faces, in their unabridged version.

We can use yum or dnf to install dejavu-serif-fonts on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dejavu-serif-fonts.

Install dejavu-serif-fonts on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh
