The cyrus-sasl-lib package contains shared libraries which are needed by applications which use the Cyrus SASL library. cyrus-sasl-lib 2.1.27 5.el8 i686 129 k cyrus-sasl-2.1.27-5.el8.src.rpm baseos Shared libraries needed by applications which use Cyrus SASL https BSD with advertising The cyrus-sasl-lib package contains shared libraries which are needed by applications which use the Cyrus SASL library.
We can use yum or dnf to install cyrus-sasl-lib on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cyrus-sasl-lib.
Install cyrus-sasl-lib on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install cyrus-sasl-lib using dnf by running the following command:
