How To Install collectd-web on CentOS 8

collectd-web is Contrib web interface to viewing rrd files

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install collectd-web on CentOS 8.

What is `collectd-web`

This package will allow for a simple web interface to view rrd files created by collectd.

We can use yum or dnf to install collectd-web on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install collectd-web.

Install collectd-web on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install collectd-web using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install collectd-web

How To Uninstall collectd-web on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the collectd-web package we can use the following command:
