How To Install collectd-sensors on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install collectd-sensors on CentOS 8.
What is collectd-sensors
This plugin for collectd provides querying of sensors supported by lm_sensors.
We can use yum or dnf to install collectd-sensors on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install collectd-sensors.
Install collectd-sensors on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install collectd-sensors using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install collectd-sensors

How To Uninstall collectd-sensors on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the collectd-sensors package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove collectd-sensors

/etc/collectd.d/sensors.conf
/usr/lib/.build-id
/usr/lib/.build-id/96/db966bbb35a9068a6106c832dd9aa70ae16d25
/usr/lib64/collectd/sensors.so
