cgnslib is Computational Fluid Dynamics General Notation System
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cgnslib on CentOS 8.
What is cgnslib
The Computational Fluid Dynamics General Notation System (CGNS) provides a general, portable, and extensible standard for the storage and retrieval of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysisdata. It consists of a collection of conventions, and free and open software implementing those conventions. It is self-descriptive, machine-independent, well-documented, and administered by an international steering committee.
We can use yum or dnf to install cgnslib on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cgnslib.
Install cgnslib on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
