What is certwatch-mod_ssl

The certwatch-mod_ssl package contains a cron script which runs a daily check for any expired or soon-to-expire certificates listed in the mod_ssl configuration.

We can use yum or dnf to install certwatch-mod_ssl on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install certwatch-mod_ssl.

Install certwatch-mod_ssl on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall certwatch-mod_ssl on CentOS 8
