How To Install bouncycastle-pg on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install bouncycastle-pg
on CentOS 8.
What is bouncycastle-pg
The Bouncy Castle Java API for handling the OpenPGP protocol. This jar contains the OpenPGP API for JDK 1.5 to JDK 1.8. The APIs can be used in conjunction with a JCE/JCA provider such as the one provided with the Bouncy Castle Cryptography APIs.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install bouncycastle-pg
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install bouncycastle-pg.
Install bouncycastle-pg on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install bouncycastle-pg
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install bouncycastle-pg
Install bouncycastle-pg on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall bouncycastle-pg on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the bouncycastle-pg
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove bouncycastle-pg
