How To Install boom-boot-conf on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install boom-boot-conf
on CentOS 8.
What is boom-boot-conf
Boom is a boot manager for Linux systems using boot loaders that support the BootLoader Specification for boot entry configuration. Boom requires a BLS compatible boot loader to function systemd-boot project, or Grub2 with the BLS patch (Red Hat Grub2 builds include this support in both Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and Fedora). This package provides configuration files for boom.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install boom-boot-conf
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install boom-boot-conf.
Install boom-boot-conf on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install boom-boot-conf
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install boom-boot-conf
Install boom-boot-conf on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall boom-boot-conf on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the boom-boot-conf
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove boom-boot-conf
