How To Install bird-doc on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install bird-doc
on CentOS 8.
What is bird-doc
Documentation for users and programmers of the BIRD Internet Routing Daemon. BIRD is a dynamic IP routing daemon supporting both, IPv4 and IPv6, Border Gateway Protocol (BGPv4), Routing Information Protocol (RIPv2, RIPng), Open Shortest Path First protocol (OSPFv2, OSPFv3), Babel Routing Protocol (Babel), Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD), IPv6 router advertisements, static routes, inter-table protocol, command-line interface allowing on-line control and inspection of the status of the daemon, soft reconfiguration as well as a powerful language for route filtering.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install bird-doc
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install bird-doc.
Install bird-doc on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install bird-doc
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install bird-doc
Install bird-doc on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.

How To Uninstall bird-doc on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the bird-doc
package we can use the following command:
