How To Install bind-sdb-chroot on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install bind-sdb-chroot
on CentOS 8.
What is bind-sdb-chroot
This package contains a tree of files which can be used as a chroot(2) jail for the named-sdb(8) program from the BIND package. Based on the code from Jan “Yenya” Kasprzak [email protected]
We can use yum
or dnf
to install bind-sdb-chroot
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install bind-sdb-chroot.
Install bind-sdb-chroot on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install bind-sdb-chroot
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install bind-sdb-chroot

How To Uninstall bind-sdb-chroot on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the bind-sdb-chroot
