How To Install baresip-gtk on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install baresip-gtk
on CentOS 8.
What is baresip-gtk
Baresip is a modular SIP user-agent with audio and video support. This module provides a GTK+ menu-based user interface. Note support. Use ‘GDK_BACKEND=x11 baresip’ to override it to Xwayland.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install baresip-gtk
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install baresip-gtk.
Install baresip-gtk on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install baresip-gtk
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install baresip-gtk
Install baresip-gtk on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall baresip-gtk on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the baresip-gtk
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove baresip-gtk
