How To Install autojump-zsh on CentOS 8

In this tutorial we learn how to install autojump-zsh
on CentOS 8.
What is autojump-zsh
autojump is a faster way to navigate your filesystem. It works by maintaining a database of the directories you use the most from the command line. autojump-zsh is designed to work with zsh.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install autojump-zsh
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install autojump-zsh.
Install autojump-zsh on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install autojump-zsh
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install autojump-zsh

How To Uninstall autojump-zsh on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the autojump-zsh
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove autojump-zsh

/usr/share/zsh/site-functions/_j
