In this tutorial we learn how to install atlas-corei2-devel on CentOS 8.
What is atlas-corei2-devel
This package contains shared and static versions of the ATLAS (Automatically Tuned Linear Algebra Software) libraries compiled with optimizations for the corei2 (Ivy/Sandy bridge) CPUs.
We can use yum or dnf to install atlas-corei2-devel on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install atlas-corei2-devel.
Install atlas-corei2-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:
