How To Install anope-sqlite on CentOS 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install anope-sqlite
on CentOS 8.
What is anope-sqlite
Anope is a set of IRC services designed for flexibility and ease of use. This package provides an Anope module to support SQLite databases for e.g. authenticating IRC users against a SQLite database using a custom query.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install anope-sqlite
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install anope-sqlite.
Install anope-sqlite on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install anope-sqlite
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install anope-sqlite

How To Uninstall anope-sqlite on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the anope-sqlite
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove anope-sqlite
anope-sqlite Package Contents on CentOS 8
/usr/lib/.build-id
/usr/lib/.build-id/7d/8a6fa6c0ddef3411f0e85fcbeeaff265848d6b
/usr/lib64/anope/modules/m_sqlite.so
