How To Install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
on CentOS 7.
What is gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
Cross-build GNU C++ compiler. Only the compiler is provided; not libstdc++. Support for cross-building user space programs is not currently provided as that would massively multiply the number of packages.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu.
Install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
Install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install dnf first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
How To Uninstall gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove gcc-c++-x86_64-linux-gnu
