What is neon.x86_64

neon is an HTTP and WebDAV client library, with a C interface; providing a high-level interface to HTTP and WebDAV methods along with a low-level interface for HTTP request handling. neon supports persistent connections, proxy servers, basic, digest and Kerberos authentication, and has complete SSL support.

We can use yum to install neon.x86_64 on Amazon Linux 2. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install neon.x86_64.

Install neon.x86_64 on Amazon Linux 2 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install neon.x86_64 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install neon.x86_64

How To Uninstall neon.x86_64 on Amazon Linux 2

To uninstall only the neon.x86_64 package we can use the following command:

sudo yum remove neon.x86_64
