on Amazon Linux 2.
What is expectk.x86_64
Expect is a tcl application for automating and testing interactive applications such as telnet, ftp, passwd, fsck, rlogin, tip, etc. Expect makes it easy for a script to control another program and interact with it. This package originally contained expectk and some scripts that used it. As expectk was removed from upstream tarball in expect-5.45, now the package contains just these scripts. Please use tclsh with package require Tk and Expect instead of expectk.
We can use yum
to install expectk.x86_64
on Amazon Linux 2. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install expectk.x86_64.
Install expectk.x86_64 on Amazon Linux 2 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install expectk.x86_64
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install expectk.x86_64
How To Uninstall expectk.x86_64 on Amazon Linux 2
To uninstall only the expectk.x86_64
package we can use the following command:
sudo yum remove expectk.x86_64
