How To Install zzuf on Ubuntu 20.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install zzuf
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is zzuf
zzuf is:
Zzuf is a transparent fuzzer. It works by intercepting applications’ file and network operations and changing random bits in their input. Its behaviour is deterministic, making it easy to reproduce bugs.
Zzuf has support for variable fuzzing ratio, character filtering, fuzzing decision based on filenames and optional network fuzzing. It can also stop processes that run for too long or that output too much data.
There are three methods to install zzuf
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install zzuf Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install zzuf
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install zzuf

After updating apt database, We can install zzuf

Install zzuf Using aptitude

How To Uninstall zzuf on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the zzuf
package we can use the following command:

To uninstall zzuf
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove zzuf
Remove zzuf Configurations and Data
To remove zzuf
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge zzuf
