How To Install xsct on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install xsct
on Debian 12.
What is xsct
xsct is:
xsct is a small C program to change the screen color temperature. It can be used to reduce or increase the amount of blue light produced by the screen.
The xsct tool sets the color temperature of the screen via xrandr like redshift. Unlike redshift, it is only 80 lines of C and will not change the screen temperature automatically.
There are three methods to install xsct
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install xsct Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xsct
using apt-get
