How To Install winetricks on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install winetricks on Kali Linux.
What is winetricks
winetricks is:
Winetricks lets you install missing DLLs or tweak various Wine settings individually. It also has a menu of supported games/apps for which it can do all the workarounds automatically.
It can be used via GUI or commandline, whichever you prefer; the commandline mode is particularly useful as a building block in fancier wine frontends and in automated regression testing.
There are three methods to install winetricks on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install winetricks Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install winetricks using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install winetricksInstall winetricks Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install winetricks using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the winetricks package we can use the following command:

To remove winetricks configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
