How To Install unar on Ubuntu 18.04

The Unarchiver is an archive unpacker program with support for the popular zip, RAR, 7z, tar, gzip, bzip2, LZMA, XZ, CAB, MSI, NSIS, EXE, ISO, BIN, and split file formats, as well as the old Stuffit, Stuffit X, DiskDouble, Compact Pro, Packit, cpio, compress (.Z), ARJ, ARC, PAK, ACE, ZOO, LZH, ADF, DMS, LZX, PowerPacker, LBR, Squeeze, Crunch, and other old formats.
This package contains the lsar tool which lists the contents of archives and the unar tool which extracts those contents.
There are three methods to install unar on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install unar Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install unar using apt-get by running the following command:

How To Uninstall unar on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the unar package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove unar

sudo apt-get -y autoremove unar
