What is trove-common
trove-common is:
Trove is Database as a Service for Openstack. It’s designed to run entirely on OpenStack, with the goal of allowing users to quickly and easily utilize the features of a relational database without the burden of handling complex administrative tasks. Cloud users and database administrators can provision and manage multiple database instances as needed. Initially, the service will focus on providing resource isolation at high performance while automating complex administrative tasks including deployment, configuration, patching, backups, restores, and monitoring. Trove is designed to support a single-tenant database within a Nova instance. There is no restrictions on how Nova is configured, since Trove interacts with other OpenStack components purely through the API.
This package provides the Trove common files.
There are three methods to install trove-common on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install trove-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install trove-common using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install trove-common
Install trove-common Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install trove-common using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install trove-common
Install trove-common Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
