How To Install task-spooler on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is task-spooler
task-spooler is:
Task spooler is a Unix batch system where the tasks spooled run one after the other. Each user in each system has his own job queue. The tasks are run in the correct context (that of enqueue) from any shell/process, and its output/results can be easily watched. It is very useful when you know that your commands depend on a lot of RAM, a lot of disk use, give a lot of output, or for whatever reason it’s better not to run them at the same time.
There are three methods to install task-spooler
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install task-spooler Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install task-spooler
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install task-spooler
Install task-spooler Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install task-spooler
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install task-spooler
Install task-spooler Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install task-spooler
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install task-spooler
How To Uninstall task-spooler on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the task-spooler
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove task-spooler
Uninstall task-spooler And Its Dependencies
To uninstall task-spooler
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove task-spooler
Remove task-spooler Configurations and Data
To remove task-spooler
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge task-spooler
Remove task-spooler configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove task-spooler
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge task-spooler
