How To Install stunnel4 on Kali Linux

What is stunnel4
stunnel4 is:
The stunnel program is designed to work as SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. The concept is that having non-SSL aware daemons running on your system you can easily setup them to communicate with clients over secure SSL channel.
stunnel can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP-2, POP-3 and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs’ code.
This package contains a wrapper script for compatibility with stunnel 3.x
There are three methods to install stunnel4 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install stunnel4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install stunnel4 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install stunnel4Install stunnel4 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install stunnel4 using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install stunnel4 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install stunnel4How To Uninstall stunnel4 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the stunnel4 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stunnel4Uninstall stunnel4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall stunnel4 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stunnel4Remove stunnel4 Configurations and Data
To remove stunnel4 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stunnel4Remove stunnel4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
