How To Install sitplus on Ubuntu 18.04

SITPLUS is a free software (GNU GPL) framework whose main goal is to provide ludic-therapeutic activities for people with disabilities. It offers new forms of interaction based on computer vision, voice and other peripherals to produce a result in the form of image and sound. Inspired by the cause and effect applications, SITPLUS provides a tool for continuous and remote interaction, attainable to the majority of people with cognitive, sensory and physical disabilities.
There are three methods to install sitplus on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sitplus Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sitplus using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sitplus
Install sitplus Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sitplus using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sitplus
Install sitplus Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install sitplus using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sitplus
How To Uninstall sitplus on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the sitplus package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sitplus
Uninstall sitplus And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sitplus and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sitplus
Remove sitplus Configurations and Data
To remove sitplus configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sitplus
Remove sitplus configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove sitplus configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge sitplus
