How To Install scilab-celestlab on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install scilab-celestlab on Debian 9.
What is scilab-celestlab
scilab-celestlab is:
CelestLab is a library of space flight dynamics functions written in Scilab. This library has been developed and is maintained by the CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) for mission analysis purposes. The library is used by CNES for the trajectory analysis and orbit design for various type of missions. CelestLab gathers in ten modules about 200 functions that allow mission designers to perform various tasks such as: orbit propagation, attitude computation, elementary manoeuvre computation, change of reference frames, change of coordinates, three body orbit analysis. CelestLab has been validated against the CNES flight dynamics reference software. Selected examples from mission analysis typical studies are provided in the CelestLab help pages.
There are three methods to install scilab-celestlab on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install scilab-celestlab Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install scilab-celestlab using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install scilab-celestlab
Install scilab-celestlab Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install scilab-celestlab using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install scilab-celestlab
Install scilab-celestlab Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install scilab-celestlab using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install scilab-celestlab
How To Uninstall scilab-celestlab on Debian 9
To uninstall only the scilab-celestlab package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove scilab-celestlab
Uninstall scilab-celestlab And Its Dependencies
To uninstall scilab-celestlab and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove scilab-celestlab

To remove scilab-celestlab configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
