This library is a fork of the ASM Java bytecode manipulation and analysis framework (see libasm-java) modified for the needs of the Scala compiler. The classes are relocated under the scala.tools.asm package and a small number of patches were applied to the original sources.
There are three methods to install scala-asm
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

Install scala-asm Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install scala-asm
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install scala-asm
How To Uninstall scala-asm on Debian 12
To uninstall only the scala-asm
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove scala-asm
Uninstall scala-asm And Its Dependencies
To uninstall scala-asm
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove scala-asm
Remove scala-asm Configurations and Data
To remove scala-asm
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge scala-asm
Remove scala-asm configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
