How To Install savi on Ubuntu 20.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install savi
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is savi
savi is:
SaVi allows you to simulate satellite orbits and coverage, in two and three dimensions. SaVi is particularly useful for simulating satellite constellations such as Iridium and Globalstar.
SaVi can use Geomview, an optional but useful package, for 3D rendering.
There are three methods to install savi
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install savi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install savi
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install savi

After updating apt database, We can install savi

Install savi Using aptitude
