How To Install ruby-rubyvis on Debian 10

What is ruby-rubyvis
ruby-rubyvis is:
Ruby port of Protovis.
Protovis composes custom views of data with simple marks such as bars and dots. Unlike low-level graphics libraries that quickly become tedious for visualization, Protovis defines marks through dynamic properties that encode data, allowing inheritance, scales and layouts to simplify construction.
This library implements almost completely core API of protovis, including all static marks, SVG builder class and data classes.
There are three methods to install ruby-rubyvis
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install ruby-rubyvis Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rubyvis
using aptitude

How To Uninstall ruby-rubyvis on Debian 10
To uninstall only the ruby-rubyvis
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rubyvis

To uninstall ruby-rubyvis
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
