How To Install ruby-rubydns on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-rubydns
on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-rubydns
ruby-rubydns is:
RubyDNS is a high-performance DNS server which can be easily integrated into other projects or used as a stand-alone daemon. By default it uses rule-based pattern matching. Results can be hard-coded, computed, fetched from a remote DNS server or fetched from a local cache, depending on requirements.
In addition, RubyDNS includes a high-performance asynchronous DNS resolver built on top of Celluloid. This module can be used by itself in client applications without using the full RubyDNS server stack.
There are three methods to install ruby-rubydns
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rubydns
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-rubydns
Install ruby-rubydns Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rubydns
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-rubydns
How To Uninstall ruby-rubydns on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-rubydns
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-rubydns
Uninstall ruby-rubydns And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-rubydns
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-rubydns
Remove ruby-rubydns Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-rubydns
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-rubydns
Remove ruby-rubydns configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-rubydns
