How To Install ruby-mab on Debian 12

What is ruby-mab
ruby-mab is:
With Mab, HTML is generated by mapping method calls to HTML elements, object attributes to element classes or HTML IDs and block arguments to the contents of the elements.
This engine is an alternative to ERb which weaves the two languages together. It is also a replacement for templating languages which use primitive languages that blend with HTML.
Mab is almost fully backward compatible with the Markaby library.
There are three methods to install ruby-mab
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-mab Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-mab
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-mab

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-mab

Install ruby-mab Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-mab
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-mab
How To Uninstall ruby-mab on Debian 12
To uninstall only the ruby-mab
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-mab
Uninstall ruby-mab And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-mab
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-mab
Remove ruby-mab Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-mab
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-mab
Remove ruby-mab configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
